What is Normal school like for a homeschooler?

7th and 8th grades are difficult years in school--lots of bullying, cliques, and such. See if you can take a tour of the school before the school year begins, to familiarize yourself with the campus a little before the first day of classes. Try to join a club or sport, if possible, as this will help you make friends faster and will go a long way to making you less of a target for bullies. A lot will vary from one school to another, but you'll figure it out quickly enough. You'll find that a lot of time in "regular" school is spent sitting still at a desk waiting; there's a LOT of wasted time. You'll learn to cope quickly enough--just try not to be sucked into the negativeness that can rule many middle schools.
